Final Parti 01
The first parti shows the more public rooms (darker shaded) verses to more open rooms/areas. While the second parti shows the enclosure in terms of structure. From comparing the two, it can be seen that the amount of enclosure of a room corresponds with the level of privacy of the rooms. (The more enclosed the room is, the more private it is).
The final parti in the first board shows the roofing structure and the overall hierarchy of the building.
Final Parti 02
The first parti shows lines of sight within the building. From this parti it can be seen that Bawa designed this building with views in mind - where he sits at his main office he can see directly out to the front entrance, and if you stood at the front entrance, you can see through all the way to the backyard.
The second parti shows enclosure, the more enclosed, the darker the shading is.
And the final parti shows the extreme private circulation of the architect himself.
Final Parti 03
The first parti on this final board shows the public circulation of this building. The general idea is that visitors will head through the courtyard and corridors right to the back of the third building where the main office and conference area is located. Through this journey one will either feel welcomed or un-welcomed once they reach the end.
The second parti displays the general geometry of the building, a particular interesting aspect i found was that in general, the building is symmetrical in terms of structure if you ran a line down the centre of the building.
The third parti shows the structure of the building. From this we can see that the building is a lot about windows, openings and doors and less about walls.
All Parti's are roughly to the scale of 1:100, images may be a little warped because of photo quality.
